Today, a new version of GMP+ BA5 Minimum requirements EWS has been published. The changes were established in collaboration with the relevant subcommittees and the In-ternational Expert Committee.
The new GMP+ BA5 will take effect on 2017-03-01.
The Early Warning System (EWS) is the process of reporting irregularities regarding feed safety at an early stage, allowing for fast responses and communication about (new) hazards and risks throughout the production chain for feed. The goal is to prevent or limit the harmful consequences for people, animals and the environment. Read more about EWS & the GMP+ Feed Certification scheme.
The Early Warning System (EWS) forms an important safety net within the GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance (FSA) module for limiting the seriousness and size of a (potential) issue at an early stage.
The above-mentioned 3 changes and 5 clarifications serve to help you meet your notification duty faster and more easily, in order to limit and prevent harmful consequences for people, animals and the environment.
