The Collective Knowledge Program (CKP) partners are busy developing a series of microlearning modules on feed safety culture. The second microlearning, on the theme of ‘feed safety hazards’, can be found at the GMP+ Academy from 25 May 2022. This module highlights the most important causes of feed safety hazards and the impact of your own behaviour on those factors.
A microlearning module shares basic knowledge about animal feed in an accessible way. Companies can use them as a refresher course or to train new employees. The modules last no more than ten minutes, can be completed in the workplace at any time and contain lots of practical examples.
Feed safety culture
The microlearning modules are designed for anyone who works in the feed industry, from cultivation to sale. The most important goal of the series is raising awareness. We want to teach participants what it means to take feed safety into account. Through various exercises, cases and examples, we get them to reflect on their actions and inspire them to consciously contribute to their organisations’ feed safety cultures. Whereas the first microlearning focuses on the definition and importance of feed safety, the second discusses the causes of feed safety hazards. After completing these two models, the participants will have an idea of the concept of ‘feed safety’. That knowledge is of great value for the rest of the series, in which they will learn about things like feed safety culture and feed safety roles and responsibilities within organisations. The microlearning modules are available in English.
A special partnership
This series of microlearning modules is being developed in partnership with the GMP+ Academy’s CKP partners. Feed experts from big names in the industry (AB Agri, De Heus, Trouw Nutrition and Veravis) combine their knowledge and experience in order to share information about feed safety culture with the world.
About the GMP+ Academy
The GMP+ Academy was launched in July 2021 by GMP+ International and leading international training institutes. The goal of the GMP+ Academy is to collect knowledge and share it with the worldwide feed safety chain. The platform also offers professionals from the chain the opportunity to talk to one another.
