Combination vehicles with flexible, reusable loading compartments are permitted, under strict conditions, for the transport of GMP+ International assured feed. In accordance with Article 11.1 of the GMP+ A1 General Regulations, it is permitted to use the combination vehicles immediately if they meet all defined requirements.
These combination vehicles have been specifically designed with a flexible tank to utilize the available loading capacity as economically and efficiently as possible.
Previously, only the combination vehicles with fixed loading compartments were permitted. However, technological developments are always moving forward. In recent years a lot of work has been done on the development of a new generation of combination vehicles. The flexible loading compartments have been greatly improved.
GMP+ International supports this development. In particular from the point of view of the economic use of the loading compartments, the environment and innovation. As a result, combination vehicles with the flexible loading compartments are permitted within the GMP+ FC scheme, effective immediately.
Additional requirements have been defined to assure feed safety. They must meet these requirements regarding equipment, technical specifications and management (in addition to the already existing requirements).
