FSP survey: the first results

Through Feed Support Products we support the GMP+ Community in the implementation and management of a GMP+ Feed Safety Management System.

From August 5th through September 15th we ran a survey about the findings of the GMP+ Community with regard to our Feed Support Products, in collaboration with research agency Satius B.V. We asked the GMP+ Community to fill out an online survey to share experiences and feedback regarding the various FSP products and services. To supplement to survey, we expect to conduct a number of one on one interviews. Now that the online survey has been completed, we can provide the initial feedback regarding results achieved.

In total, 688 members from 37 countries across the globe participated in the online survey. Our FSP products and services received an average grade of 7.3 (on a scale of 1 to 10). The various FSPs are given a positive assessment, but the survey also shows that our GMP+ Community isn’t always aware of them. The various FSPs have been assessed on a scale from 1 to 6, in which the number 6 is the highest rank.. It turns out that BA1 Specific Feed Safety Limits (4.7), Product lists (4.3) and the GMP+ D documents (4.3) are ranked highest. The GMP+ Monitoring Database receives the lowest score, and is ranked at 3.4. We will active work with this, to find out where improvements can be made.

Next steps

In the coming months we will analyze the entire survey. Together with Satius, we will draw up a concrete improvement plan, which we will of course share with you. Over the course of 2020, we expect to be able to take concrete steps in processing the feedback in our FSP products and services.

We would like to thank the GMP+ Community for the time taken to fill out the survey.
