The GMP+ Country Notes are there to set out specific feed safety assurance requirements and conditions for a feed company in specific countries. These requirements provide a wider range of options for establishing a GMP+ feed safety management system (GMP+ FSMS). Because the validity period of these Country Notes is limited and will not be extended, companies in about 10 countries must, using these Country Notes, prepare to be certified under the GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance (GMP+ FSA) standard.
Since we introduced these Country Notes, we have improved the GMP+ standard in several areas:
These improvements have eliminated the necessity for feed companies to apply the Country Note to obtain GMP+ certification.
Because of these substantial improvements, these Country Notes are no longer needed. Therefore:
CN | Countries | Valid until end of |
CEE | Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Slovenia | 2021 |
IT | Italy | 2021 |
IP | Spain, Portugal, Andorra | 2022 |
VN | Vietnam | 2022 |
CN | China | 2023 |
Existing GMP+ Country Note certificates will still be accepted until the expiration of the certificate or the switch to the GMP+ FC scheme 2020, whichever comes first.
Certification Bodies will help you obtain the necessities to fulfill the requirement. Companies that still face problems complying with the GMP+ standard because of their specific situation or national legislation should know that our Helpdesk is open to support all your queries. Likewise, any guidelines will be posted on our website.
Note: A few GMP+ Country Notes, covering specific market wishes, will still be valid in the GMP+ FC scheme 2020. An example is the QM-Milch Country Note.
