African Swine Fever (ASF) is still spreading around the globe. GMP+ International has a leaflet available with useful recommendation to prevent any further spread of ASF among the GMP+ Community. Besides the recommendation GMP+ International finds it important to increase the awareness of ASF among GMP+ Community.
There are clues about the likelihood that feed can play a role in spreading the ASF virus.
The European Commission has requested the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to issue a scientific opinion regarding the probability of the survival and transmission of the ASF virus. The result is expected to be published during the first half of 2021.
GMP+ International will closely follow the development of the scientific recommendations.
