GMP+ International and QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH have re-established their longstanding, successful cooperation and prolongated their mutual recognition agreement.
This means that all feed producers and traders, private labelers, storage and transshipment companies who are certified against GMP+FSA or QS can continue to deliver into the respective other scheme without additional audits. The mutual recognition now also includes mobile milling and mixing plants. Details are published in Appendix 9.1 to the QS Guideline Feed Sector.
For Johan Den Hartog, Managing Director at GMP+ International, the prolongation of the agreement with QS is a confirmation of the long and fruitful cooperation between the two scheme owners: "In times of ever increasing globalization of the markets, the ongoing close exchange with other international scheme owners is the decisive requirement for ensuring a comparable level of quality assurance and food safety at European level”.
QS Managing Director Dr. Hermann-Josef Nienhoff is also pleased about the continuation of the mutual recognition between GMP + International and QS and sees in particular a clear facilitation of the daily work of the scheme participants: "We are very pleased not only to continue the good cooperation with GMP + International, but to expand it even further. In this way, we create a significant added value for all involved economic parties, as costs and effort that would be associated with a double audit are avoided.”
Currently, GMP+ International has almost 50 Chain Partners from all the world and we continue to seek more collaboration. If you are interested to become a partner, contact our Business Development unit.
