Amidst Covid-19 pandemic, GMP+ International continues to stay in touch with the feed industry and the GMP+ Community anywhere in the world. That's why we recently organised 3 online events.
Considering the fact that travelling and events are not possible nowadays, the best way for Thailand to complete our Orange Knowledge Transfer Program (OKTP) was through online webinars. In partnership with Q-Point B.V., Thai Feed Mill Association (TFMA) and with support from the Dutch Embassy-Thailand the program was successfully concluded by organising 2-session webinars on 15 & 22 July 2020. The webinars tackled paramount topics for the Thai whole feed (value) chain dubbed as Securing Feed Safety Certification: Relevance & Reliability and Importance of Biosecurity to Feed Value Chain in Thailand.
“Animal feed is an integral part of the food value chain and feed safety has been recognized as a shared value and responsibility.” Willem Schoustra, the Dutch Agricultural Counsellor in Thailand, said at the Thai Webinar “Securing Feed Safety Certification: Relevance & Reliability”
"Feed safety is everyone's accountability, not just the responsibility of a particular person. Knowing your position in the feed chain, you will achieve one further step in the feed supply chain industry" Tipong Narkmit, Control Union, GMP+ Auditor.
With almost 100 participants in each session, we appreciate the tremendous support from everyone who has been part of this program.
“My experience in the training taught me a more advanced level of feed safety assurance and management. Knowledge is an important key in the feed value chain” Kobkan Prasomsak, CPF (Thailand), OKTP Graduate
A group of volunteers from several companies in Poland was formed as a Task Force with the objective to discuss possible recommendations to (re)solve some issues based on the actual situation in Poland related to GMP+ Feed Safety certification. As Polish company experts and GMP+ International experts join forces, the group will soon share some output with the Polish community. This was the second meeting of the task force which was attended by 20 people via Teams.
A special interaction with Ukrainian companies took place by way of a consultation hour as a follow up on our last year seminar. In the presence of Dinant Wolters, head GMP+ International Standards team and Edwin van Bussel, GMP+ Auditor, we met representatives from companies via an online meeting to discuss questions from companies thoroughly. We interviewed companies in advance and opened the invitation for everyone (GMP+ certified) in Ukraine.
