On October 10, GMP+ International officially launched the Country Note Iberian Peninsula (CN-IP) in Barcelona, Spain.
More than 40 experts from the Spanish feed sector joined the workshop at Bureau Veritas office.
Liliana Quillama and Esther Caraballo (GMP+ International), opened the workshop with a presentation. Telling about GMP+ International in general and the feed safety sector worldwide, the content of the new Country Note Iberian Peninsula and its possibilities of application. And off course we had time to answer other questions about on GMP+FSA certification.
During the assessment and publication of CN-IP we work closely with Control Union, Bureau Veritas and DNV GL as members of the working group.
The Country Note offers solutions for country specific issues. Mr. Olaf Nebel (Control Union), explained how the new CN-IP had added value for the special situation of the Spanish ports regarding stevedores and transport of feed.
Mr. Francisco J. Blanco (Bureau Veritas) gave detailed information on the certification process and changes in scope. Followed by Mr. Javier Soria (DNV GL) who concluded the presentation with information about assessment and correct application of new gatekeeper protocols.
During the workshop two GMP+ FSA certified companies shared their experiences and how it benefits them. We met Mrs. Ana Cristina Letosa, responsible for quality of Industrial Zootecnica Aragonesa S.L., the first GMP+ FSA certified company in Spain under scope of Country Note Iberian Peninsula. She informed us on the useful help of this new standard to face current limitations in Spanish market.
We thank everyone for their collaboration and participation. Feed safety worldwide; Let’s do it together.
